    Tim Powers is President and CEO of MassMutual Wisconsin, a premier financial services organization serving Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

    Tim joined MassMutual in April 2003 and has over 20 years of financial services experience with a majority of that time spent in management. With his direction, MassMutual Wisconsin is a progressive organization that provides the resources and support to keep pace with the evolving financial needs and goals of a diverse clientele. With confidence in its products and people, Tim instills in his team the number one skill of listening in order to gain a thorough understanding of objectives for individuals, families and businesses.

    As a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS), Tim has the knowledge and insight into the inner workings and challenging dynamics of family-owned business and small, closely-held corporations. The certificate program was offered by The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, exclusively for MassMutual financial professionals. Tim is also actively involved in his local NAIFA chapter and is a member of GAMA International.

    Tim was the recipient of MassMutual’s Sales Manager of the Year Silver Bowl award in 2007, participated in MassMutual’s Next Generation Group in 2008, and was named General Manager of the Dallas Agency in August of 2008. After a successful tenure in Dallas, Texas, and building that agency to new levels, Tim returned to his home state of Wisconsin to be named General Manager of the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois offices in 2010.

    Holding a degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, Tim remains involved as a member of the University’s alumni association. Tim is also active in his church, youth hockey, USA Swimming and sits on the Board of Directors for Buckets for Hunger and REACH-A-Child. As an avid Badger Fan, he can be found attending many university events. Tim and his wife reside in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and have three children.
