Within 2 years of graduating from Carthage College with a major in Business Administration, Steve Elsberg began his insurance career. Since that beginning in 1975, Steve has earned the industry designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), awarded life membership in the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and achieved lifetime qualification for MassMutual’s Leader’s Award.
Steve’s business practice specializes in Employee Fringe Benefit Planning, Business Succession Planning, Estate Planning and Personal Retirement Strategies. As of April 2017, Steve is an agent emeritus.
Steve and his wife reside in Rockford, Illinois, and have two adult children. In his spare time, Steve enjoys golfing and fishing. Steve is active in the community as well as his profession. He is a Past President and Board Member of the Rockford Cosmopolitan Service Club, a past Board Member of the Forest Hills Country Club, a past Board Member of the Northern Illinois Leave-A-Legacy, a Board of Director for the Riverside Community Bank, Board Member of the First Tee of Greater Rockford Area, and a past Church Council member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He is also a past Board Member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Rockford, Illinois, Chapter and the Association of Health Insurance Agents. In addition, he is a past President and Board Member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Northern Illinois Chapter and a Charter Board Member of the Northern Illinois Estate Planning Council.
