With a top priority to develop quality relationships with his clients, Will Sutherland also works to fortify relationships with informative and productive communication. He works with individuals, small and medium-sized businesses and professional institutions, guiding them to establish and achieve their investment goals. Will strongly believes in understanding his clients’ financial needs in order to customize an investment strategy that is specifically designed for each client’s unique goals. He emphasizes the importance of trust and says, “Trust is the key element in any successful relationship, that’s why it is of utmost importance that I earn my clients’ trust.”
Will’s areas of expertise include comprehensive wealth management and retirement planning for individuals and businesses. Will has refined his approach to investing, “My investment philosophy is to formulate both a tactical and strategic financial plan reflecting my clients’ financial goals, as well as risk tolerance, and then recommend a solution that is tailored to meet each client’s individual needs.”
Will earned his BS in flight operation and business management from the University of Dubuque. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army fulfilling several roles as pilot in command of the Blackhawk helicopter in the mission profiles of medevac, air assault and space shuttle recovery team. While in the military he was awarded two Army Commendation medals and two Army Achievement medals.
As a member of his community, Will is a board member of the nonprofit group Friends of Clean Lakes Alliance, Downtown Madison, Inc., Forward Janesville, Wounded Warrior Project, and is an active member of his church, St. John Vianney. His favorite leisure time activities are spent with his family, golfing, reading, cycling and enjoying the outdoors. Will grew up and currently lives in Janesville, Wisconsin, with his wife and two sons.
